About VennBoard

Family law is a conversation, not a workflow.

We’re building the only platform designed for both sides of that conversation — the firm and the family — because lasting outcomes need both.

Why we exist

Most divorce software is a thinly-themed version of generic practice management. It tracks billable time. It stores documents. It sends invoices. It does almost nothing for the most important participant in the case — the family. And most co-parenting apps treat their users like adversaries who need to be policed, not partners trying to do something hard. They sit isolated from the legal process they’re often deeply entangled with. VennBoard exists in the overlap. We believe that when a firm’s matter and a family’s life share a single, well-designed platform, the case goes faster, the records are cleaner, and the people involved come out the other side with less damage.

What we believe

The record is the relationship.

Every contested family case turns on what was said, what was paid, what was promised. We treat the record — the messages, the receipts, the calendars, the audit log — as the most important asset on the platform. It is immutable, exportable, and yours.

Calm tools change behavior.

The Courtesy Meter isn’t a gimmick. We’ve watched it talk thousands of people out of sending a message they’d later regret. Software that nudges toward dignity is software that earns its place in a family’s life.

Pricing should match who benefits.

Firms pay because firms profit. Clients pay nothing for the portal. Families get the basics free. We will never paywall a co-parent’s ability to communicate with the other co-parent — that’s the whole point.

Privacy is a feature, not a checkbox.

We don’t sell data. We don’t run ads. We don’t share content with third parties for “training.” Encrypted in transit, encrypted at rest, exportable on demand, deletable on request. Read the policy.

Who we are

VennBoard is built by a team with backgrounds in divorce, mediation, and software for hard human problems. We’ve been clients of divorce firms ourselves. We’ve sat in mediations. We’ve lost weekends to receipts. We’re building the tool we wish we’d had.

Where we’re going

Better support for stored payment methods. A purpose-built workflow for in-person mediations. Court-jurisdiction-aware calculator templates. Tighter integrations with the document tools and e-filing systems firms already use. And quietly, in the background, more research on what actually helps families talk better — because the best feature we’ve ever shipped wasn’t a feature at all, it was a 3-second pause before sending.
